In 2023, during my stay in a rainforest in Panama, I gathered fragments of trees, plants, and fauna through a series of photographic snapshots. My attention was drawn not to the whole landscapes but to the intricate details—the stems, branches, trunks, and leaves. These fragments reflect the way I perceive and process the world: through patterns and parts rather than conventional wholes.
Rather than reconstructing the spaces as they appeared, I began to assemble these fragments into new anatomies. By connecting disparate botanical and artificial elements, I created relationships that suggest alternate perspectives. The resulting compositions are flipped, asymmetrical, and upside down—spaces that mirror my hyperactive imagination that drives me to think beyond the environments we encounter.
